Emakina launches multibrand promo platform for D’Ieteren Group

Emakina’s latest digital project for D’Ieteren Auto is a complete multi brand platform in Drupal, with attractive websites to showcase offers and special promotions. The team first launched new promotion platforms for Volkswagen Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. The special conditions website for ŠKODA soon followed. The fourth new platform will go live later in December, sporting SEAT promotions. The project is a new landmark in the collaboration between the automotive leader and Emakina, who have been working together for over a decade.


Over the years, D’Ieteren and Emakina have teamed up on an impressive series of digital projects. These include digital strategy, CRM, corporate and automotive brand websites, award winning digital campaigns and model introductions, mobile applications, event and test drive day support tools, video clips, and more. 

So it was a logical step for D’Ieteren to call on Emakina to create a new platform to manage offers and promotions for several of its brands. The goal was to make the monthly promo updates more efficient for each brand, while creating fast and user-friendly shopping experiences for demanding customers.

Working under a tight schedule, the team aligned the scope for the D’Ieteren brands and created tools to quickly edit and duplicate platform content. To speed up production of the new Drupal platform, shared code for the common elements of the brands was combined with specific code branches for brand designs and other distinctive elements.

The data management included legal and financial information, of vital importance when sharing online promotions and offers. In close collaboration with the D’Ieteren’s Financial Services, Emakina delivered tailored answers for each offer.

The result is a cost-effective multibrand platform, with a refreshed and rationalized front-end. After the intense collaboration, the new content management tool already proves its value. Complex updates are easier and go faster, while allowing fluent data introduction via csv import, especially for pricing information.
